Kara is 5 months! I've been super busy lately with going back to work so this post is late and it's going to have to be short.
She weighs a little over 13lbs now and has moved into her 6 and 9 month outfits. Her weight gain is really slowing but she seems happy so I'm trying not to worry about it.
She is smiley and likes chewing and playing with toys now. She is working on sitting up but is still wobbly. She likes laying on the floor, watching Jack, being in the carrier, and baths. She still hates the carseat and being left in a room alone, even for a second.
She is a full blown mover now and she gets around by rolling and scooting. If you look away for just a minute, she'll be across the room.
She's too fidgety to sleep with me sometimes now so we've started to use the cosleeper to give her her own space to flop around and sleep on her tummy. I alternate snuggling with her and putting her in there all night long.
This month we traveled to Lake George NY (more on that in my next post) and she had her first boat ride, dip in the lake/bucket, and hiking trip. She also got her first serious cold on the way home but recovered quickly.
I went back to work on her 5 monthiversary and she started daycare. She seems to really like it because all the stimulation but cries a little at nap times and is exhausted at the end of the day. She's fallen into their schedule pretty quickly and is getting two 1-3 hour naps a day.
Overall she is turning out to be a great baby. She is content most of the time and a pretty good sleeper and eater. We are really starting to get into the good baby phase and are enjoying playing with her more and more everyday!
